A loyalist arms bess from India will spark as well as my custum lock, at least mine does. They offer more models and are as close to original as Perdisoli. The wood is not walnut.Reducing width by 25% reduces spring strength by 25%. Thinning by narrowing reduces strength proportionally. The patent breech in percussion guns is safer and easier to clean. Drum and nipple breeches are manure from several perspectives.
