When I stop the SDS100 on the exact same frequency that the TRX-1 is decoding, programmed as a DMR freq., it doesn't even make a hit on the signal bar. A small separate rechargeable coin like battery that was just to keep the clock going. Normally, they should last a least a few weeks to a few months if the main battery is dead. If the main battery is dead I've had mine work fine 6mo+ later. Your battery could just have lost it's charge most likely.

On the SDS100, the antenna connector is recessed somewhat into the case, so a standard BNC Female -> SMA Male does not fit correctly. (It's recessed to maintain water-resistance.) Use either the adapter that came with the scanner, order a replacement (or extra) from one of the dealers, or order ... If this test still has the "Low Voltage" problem then try using the Mini-USB cable and power USB power supply that came with the SDS100 (without the GPS). If that works, then there may be a problem with the Uniden BC-UTGC cable.
